Welcome to Journey Church!

Journey is a place where you’ll find love, acceptance and an opportunity to JOURNEY from brokenness to restoration through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We’d love to get to know you better but first…here is some information about us so that you can consider joining with us as we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ to the least, last and lost in our community and around the world.

The Bridge

If you are ready to start your JOURNEY, the place to begin is at Sunday morning worship! Every Sunday at 10:30 the doors open for a Worship Celebration. What is the Sunday morning gathering about? It’s “about” 30 minutes of worship, 30 minutes of the Word and a powerful time of ministry, decisions and prayer at the altar. Why do we call it The Bridge? Worship + 2

The DEEPER LIFE is all about balance. The worship gathering on Sunday morning is awesome, but it’s not the place where deeper relationships are formed. So we invite to you to commit to Worship + 2. Every week attend worship + 1 small group gathering and serve in 1 way, big or small. Through large group worship, small group fellowship/study and humbly serving something or someone in need we believe with all  our hearts you will find God in a bigger way than ever before.

To help you pursue the DEEPER LIFE, here is an outline of our current small group and serving opportunities. Be sure to check back in with the list pretty often as we have many seasonal small groups and short term studies throughout the year!

Small Groups:

Power Hour groups on Sunday morning at 9:00!

  • Disciple Bible Study for Adults
  • Disciple Bible Sutdy for Teens (6th grade-12th grade)
  • Journey Friends (devotional and small group discussion)
  • J-Crew children’s choir (K-5th grade)

Year-Round Groups

  • Celebrate Recovery: Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m.
  • Relationship in Crisis Made New: Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m.
  • JourneyMen: 2nd Saturday of the month: 7:00 a.m.
  • Worship Family: Thursday night group time at 6:15, followed by rehearsal

Student Groups

  • Asylum Youth (6th-12th grade):Wednesday nights at 5:45
  • Junior High Skate Night (6th-9th grade): 2nd Monday of the month at Crystal Palace, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; $4 admission
  • Senior High Deep Thoughts (10th-12th grade): 2nd Tuesday of the month at McDonalds on Kelley Highway, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Journey 2.0 (18-29 year olds): Wednesday nights at 7:00

Serving Opportunities:

  1. Sound & Media Technicians
  2. Journey Friends greeting squad
  3. Cafe Host/Hostess
  4. Cleaning the baptistry
  5. Grounds maintenance
  6. Food Pantry volunteer
  7. J-Kids volunteer
  8. Kitchen clean-up
  9. Meals for a season (family with loss, new baby, illness, etc.)
